AfPS 2018 Panelists’ Profiles: Pharm. Estelle Mbadiwe

IMG-20180603-WA0002.jpgOnyekachi Estelle Mbadiwe is a Founding Partner of Ducit Blue Solutions. She is a Pharmacist, with an MSc in Health Policy, Planning & Financing.
She has substantial expertise in multiple healthcare institutions in project and change management. She has worked on various projects to develop strategies to improve patient safety and deliver quality in healthcare services and systems both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

She is the Country co-ordinator for the Global Antibiotics Resistance Partnership (GARP-Nigeria) project, which supported the Nigerian Centre For Disease Control and tripartite partners across Health, Agriculture and Environment to develop a One-Health Situation Analysis & National Action Plan for combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), in line with the WHO global action plan. This was submitted to the World Health Assembly in May 2017, with work currently on the way towards implementing the 5 Strategic framework.

She led a successful policy reform project to deliver on the Department of Health (UK) patient-centred agenda for developing medicines management strategies with KOLs, to imbed policies and guidelines across the interface with primary, secondary and tertiary care. Her vision is to improve the Health sector in line with global best practice, for the benefit of all end users and it is in tandem with the goals of AfPS 2018. We caught up with Pharm Estelle at the #HealthMeetsTech Hackathon in Abuja where she left the audience astonished with her knowledge. She will be live at the AfPS as a panelist and we know you wouldn’t want to pass up on such opportunity #AfPS2018
